What big insight can you gain from a feral cat?

A feral cat with kittens found its way to the farm. We named her Brownie. She’s mostly brown striped with a little white under her chin, and has a bit of fluffiness to her. Maybe there’s a smattering of Angora in her gene pool somewhere.

Brownie is not the least friendly. She’s the wildest of untamed creatures, borderline Crazyville. She’s not looking to fit in, but she is looking for a way to feed her family.

When she has a slow day hunting, she comes to the front door and yells for me. Nothing polite. Her voice is loud and insisting. I bring the food and she follows me to a bowl I have set up for her in an old garage. She trots beside me, growling and hissing, once in a while striking out with a claw in her desperation.

As I pour the food into the dish, she settles and winds her soft body around my ankles. She’s grateful, but not purring. This is the only time she allows me to be close to her in any way. And I always come through for her. She has no thought about how I got the food, only that I am the Source of what she needs.

Brownie is my great reminder to ask for everything I need and it comes without fail. It’s not a matter of worth. Like Brownie, I’m worthy of all my good simply because I’m alive. But it comes faster if I ask. This is conscious use of energy.

Are you asking for what you need? Are you asking with unfailing confidence in Source like Brownie? Or are you asking as a skeptic? Makes all the difference. Source Energy can only bring you what you decide.
